Before any design can begin, you need a domain name and a host for your website.
I know deciding each can be a bit daunting. It was for me too when I first began. So, I’m here to help!

Before you can get on the web, you need a domain name or a URL. For example, my domain name is “2212designs.com.” Your domain name is basically your web address. Make sure you choose a domain name that is consistent with your brand!
Once you’ve decided on a name, check here in a safe environment to determine if that URL is already taken. If it’s not, you’re good to go! Now you need to purchase that domain name.
My recommendations: (*keep in mind these companies can also host…I personally don’t recommend purchasing your host and your domain from the same company…just in case something happens…but many do. I’ll let you decide.)
Now you need a host. In a nutshell, a host provider gives you space to rent on their server so other people can find you on the Internet.
Check them all out, and see which one works best for your budget!
